Lori Copler Staff Writer
McLeod West School board members and administrators heard from their counterparts from Buffalo Lake-Hector (BLH), GFW (Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop) and Glencoe-Silver Lake (GSL) that all three of those districts are interested in pursuing a consolidation plan with McLeod West.
Now, McLeod West needs to decide which districts it thinks will be the preference of the majority of its voters, and set a special meeting for Tuesday night to discuss it.
The MW reps met with the representatives of the other three districts in Brownton Thursday night. More information about that meeting, including how the consolidation and/or dissolution processes work, will be published in the Nov. 19 issue of The McLeod County Chronicle. A brief recap on the outcome of Tuesday night's special McLeod West board meeting will be posted on this website late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning.
