Alethea Roe

Roe earns QuestBridge Scholarship at Penn
Glencoe-Silver Lake High School senior Alethea Roe is the recipient of a QuestBridge National College Match Scholarship at the University of Pennsylvania. The scholarship is worth $52,000 a year for four years.

Glencoe-Silver Lake High School Principal Lon Jorgensen said Roe, daughter of Shelby and Jean Roe of Plato, was one of only 259 of the 900 finalists to receive a full match with a college.

Only 26 QuestBridge students were matched at Penn, Jorgensen added.

The GSL School Board personally congratulated Roe for her academic achievement by shaking her hand. She also was presented a certificate of success by Superintendent Chris Sonju.
