One-act play performance Thursday

Anderson breaks boys' scoring record

Hawaiian Invitational

Wrestlers drop pair at Mound Triangular

The Glencoe-Silver Lake wrestling team endured a rough night with lessons learned while competing at Mound Westonka on Thursday, Jan. 22.
The Panthers knew that they had a good chance at a split in their triangular meet against both the host White Hawks and Willmar, but came home disappointed and empty handed.
While GSL took a predictable 66-10 thumping from Willmar, the No. 3 ranked team in Class AAA, it was the 35-34 loss to Mound Westonka that really hurt.

Panther girls cagers keep winning

An impressive mid-season winning streak continued for the Glencoe-Silver Lake girls’ basketball team last week. The final record shows that the Panthers eked out a 32-30 victory at Mound Westonka on Friday, Jan. 23.
However, there was initially some confusion regarding the outcome, which led to some false condolences being conveyed to coach Zach Otto-Fisher.

Anderson reflects upon breaking team scoring record

Friday night was set up to be a big one for Glencoe-Silver Lake’s Keaton Anderson, and it sure was.
Anderson, a guard for the Panthers boys’ basketball team, entered that evening’s Wright County Conference West battle against Mound Westonka needing just seven points to etch his name into the record book as the team’s all-time leading scorer.

Panther boys hoops go 3-for-3

It was easily the biggest week of the season so far for the Glencoe-Silver Lake boys’ basketball team.
The Panthers, coming off a narrow overtime loss at Annandale on Friday, Jan. 16, returned home for a three-game stretch rife with implications for the remainder of their season and claimed three victories.
Then there was the topic of Keaton Anderson’s historic achievement.
