A rural Glencoe couple is homeless after an early morning fire Monday.
Glencoe Fire Chief Ron Grack said the fire was reported just after 4 a.m. at 5747 100th Street, southeast of Glencoe.
The home is an older, two-story farmhouse, and the fire is believed to have started in the attic near the chimney.
“It burnt through the roof and one room,” said Grack. Although the fire was contained to the upper story, there was significant water damage.
