Softballers sitting at .500

The Glencoe-Silver Lake softball team is hovering at the .500 mark with a 5-5 record after going 1-2 over its last three games.
Last week’s win came on Thursday, April 30 with an 11-6 eight-inning win at Wright County Conference West foe New London-Spicer after the Panthers exploded for five runs in the added frame.
Pitcher Moriah Maunu went the distance, striking out nine batters while scattering 13 hits and two walks. Only two of the Wildcats’ five runs were earned.

Panthers split a pair in WCC play

A split of last week’s pair of games gave the Glencoe-Silver Lake baseball team an 8-3 record as it heads into Thursday’s Wright County Conference West tilt at Dassel-Cokato.
It’s been a bit of a light stretch for the Panthers, giving the squad a bit of a break after a quick blitz of games in mid-to-late April.
The Panthers opened their two game stretch in an unfortunate manner as host Litchfield rolled to a 15-6 win on Tuesday, April 28.
