There is a new, but familiar, face on the Glencoe City Council after Allen Robeck was sworn into office Monday prior the annual organization meeting of the council. But it took a break from tradition to do it after three council members were absent, and the Council did not have a quorum to complete its 2014 business.
So Robeck, a longtime city employee — now retired — who was elected as the at-large council member in November’s general election, took the oath of office early in order to give the City Council its required minimum three votes.
