Glen Wayn Lieder, Ogilvie

Glen Wayn Lieder of Ogilvie died Nov. 2, 2016.
An open house celebration of his life will be at the Crow River Winery, Highway 7 E, Hutchinson, on Sunday, Dec. 11, from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., in the Boxelder Room.
Glen Lieder was the son of Harry and Gloria Lieder of New Ulm.
Survivors include his son, Brian Lieder of New Ulm; brother, Gene Lieder of Rhode Island; sister, Cindy Lieder of New Ulm; brother, Dennis Lieder of New Ulm; and brother, Dale Lieder of Hutchinson.

Anita R. Montgomery, 74, of Glencoe

Anita Ruth (Heinrich) Montgomery, 74, of Glencoe, died Sunday, Nov. 13, 2016, at Glencoe Regional Health Services.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Nov. 17, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe with the Rev. Daniel Welch officiating. Dawn Wolter was the organist. Special music was by the First Evangelical Lutheran Church Choir, “There is a Redeemer.” Congregational hymns were “My Faith Looks Up to Thee,” “I’m But a Stranger Here” and “God Be With You ’Til We Meet Again.”

Charles Olesen, 73, of Dayton, Ohio

Charles “Charlie” Olesen, 73, of Dayton, Ohio, formerly of Stewart, died Oct. 7, 2016, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.
A celebration of life was held Saturday, Nov. 19, at the Dobratz-Hantge Chapel in Hutchinson with the Rev. Jon Lindekugel officiating. Jim Nelson was the organist. Music was by Jackie and Annika Olesen and Jim and Sara Nelson and the worship team.

Cyril Joseph Popelka, 94, of Glencoe

Cyril Joseph Popelka, 94, of Glencoe, died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, at Glencoe Regional Health Services Long Term Care.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held today (Wednesday, Nov. 23) at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at The Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake.
The Rev. Paul Schumacher will be the celebrant at the funeral Mass. The Mass will be interpreted in American Sign Language (ALS).

Vernon E.O. Engelmann, 90, Glencoe

Vernon Emil Otto Engelmann, 90, of Glencoe, formerly of Plato, died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016, at Glencoe Regional Health Services Long Term Care.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 21, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Plato with the Rev. Tyson Mastin officiating. Yvonne Schuette was the organist. Congregational hymns were “Be Still, My Soul,” “Borning Cry,” “Müde bin ich, Geh zur Ruh,” and “I Know That My Redeemer Lives.”

Roy G. Howk, 92, of Glencoe

Roy G. Howk, 92, of Glencoe, died Monday, Nov. 14, 2016, at his home.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 19, at the Apostolic Christian Church in Winthrop with the church ministers presiding. Music was by the Apostolic Christian Church choir.
Casket bearers were Mr. Howk’s granddaughters, Rose Lendt, Jamie Engel, Kim Moore, Kjerstin McKeehen, Britney Hay, Andrea Stover, Kayla Howk-Erwin, Cynthia Howk, Chelsey Rice, Ashleigh Remme and AmberRose Brudelie.
Interment was in the Winthrop Cemetery in Winthrop.

Irene A. Beich, 88, of Hutchinson

Irene Beich, 88, of Hutchinson, died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016, at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson.
Private graveside services were held at St. Mat-thew’s Lutheran Cemetery in Penn Township, McLeod County, with the Rev. Andrew Hermodson-Olsen officiating.
Casket bearers were Justin Uecker, Chad Fisher, Corey Fisher, Larry Fisher and Orlin Harbarth.

Green Isle woman hurt in 2-vehicle crash Sunday

A Green Isle woman was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at the Glencoe hospital after a two-vehicle accident east of Glencoe Sunday.
The accident was reported at 5:27 p.m. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Katie Finch, 34, of Glencoe, was driving eastbound on Highway 212, attempted to turn left and go north on Dairy Avenue, when her 2011 Toyota Rav 4 struck a westbound 2004 Pontiac Vibe, driven by Polly Rapp, 53, of Green Isle.
