NA Lions scholarships

The New Auburn Lions sponsored two scholarships for the graduation year of 2015. Jenessa Urban from Glencoe-Silver Lake High School has been awarded $250. Urban will be attending Winona State University. Elizabeth Theis from Sibley East High School has been awarded $250 and will be attending Morningside College in Iowa. 

Concordia announces list

Matthew Brelje of Glencoe has earned a spot on the Concordia University, St. Paul, dean’s list for the fall 2015 semester. This list recognizes students who have achieved a grade point average of 3.6 or above. 

Lueders earns scholarship

Mark Lueders of Glencoe has received an $8,000 President’s Honors Scholarship from Minnesota State University Moorhead. Lueders is the son of Denise and Jeff Lueders. He intends to major in biology. The scholarship is awarded to an incoming freshman with a high school class rank in the top 5 percent and a score of 28 or above on the ACT.

Brea and Stephen Wiblemo of Glencoe announce the birth of their son, Stephen William “Liam” Wiblemo II, born March 17, 2016, at Glencoe Regional Health Services. Stephen weighed 8 pounds, 5 ounces, and was 22 inches long. Grandparents are Jerry and Terri Wiblemo of Marshall and Greg and Cynthia Ettel of Glencoe.

Maribella weighed 6 pounds and was 18 inches long. She joins siblings Colemann, Evann, Ava and Haiden Lueck. Grandparents are Bill and Deb Heuer and Jose and Lisa DeCasas, all of Glencoe.

Amanda and Travis Ahl of Silver Lake announce the birth of their daughter, Eleanor Lou Ahl, born March 2, 2016, at Glencoe Regional Health Services. Eleanor weighed 6 pounds, 11 ounces, and was 181⁄2 inches long. She joins siblings Matthew and Braxton. Grandparents are Tracy Ahl of Silver Lake, Anthony Ahl of Murdock, Richard Diers of Howard Lake and Brenda Diers of Shafer.

Julie and Ryan Ide of Glencoe announce the birth of their son, George Ryan Busch Ide, born March 6, 2016 at Glencoe Regional Health Services. George weighed 7 pounds, 13 ounces, and was 21 inches long. Grandparents are Edna Ide, the late Vernon Ide, and Craig and Roz Kohls, all of Glencoe.
