Panther girls’ golfers led by new coach

The Glencoe-Silver Lake girls’ golf team is the first of the Panther spring sports squads to compete this season, taking to the Litchfield Golf Course for an invitational meet on Thursday.
The Panthers will also be competing under a new leader this season as Dave Frasier takes over for Scott Eckhoff. 
It is Frasier’s first varsity head coaching position; he also serves as an assistant coach for the GSL boys’ basketball team. He said the team is ready to go for Thursday.

Girls’ hoops wrap up season with banquet

The Glencoe-Silver Lake girls’ basketball team put a final stamp on its 2015-16 campaign on Wednesday, March 30 with its annual awards banquet, held in the GSL High School cafeteria. 
Junior guard Maddie Monahan earned Class AA All-State Honorable Mention and Wright County Conference All-Conference honors. 
Senior forward Maddy Kalenberg earned All-State academic honors, as well as being named WCC All-Conference Honorable Mention.

GSL baseball prepared to defend titles

Expectations are always high when it comes to the Glencoe-Silver Lake baseball team and this season is no different. Coming off of a 21-6 season that saw the Panthers playing in their second consecutive state tournament, goals remain lofty for the 2016 campaign.

School Board accepts first round of construction bids

The Glencoe-Silver Lake School Board accepted bids for two of its bid packages for its upcoming construction project at a special meeting Thursday night. Both pacakages came in under the expected costs.

“All in all, we are confident with the numbers we got,” Donlar Construction Senior Project Manager Josh Lester said.

The school's construction project was divided into three separate bid pacakages. Bids one and three came in on April 21.
