It is estimated that it will cost about $3.2 million to $3.3 million to recondition and pave the trail from the Carver County line to the city of Hutchinson.

County looks at renovating Piepenburg restrooms

McLeod County is planning improvements to the bathroom facility at Piepenburg Park, north of Hutchinson.
Parks Director Al Koglin told the County Board at its Aug. 16 meeting that the current bathroom is 34 years old, and needs some upgrading.
Koglin would like to totally remodel the interior, and divide it up into four family-style bathrooms, rather than having a men’s room and a women’s room.
The family-style bathrooms would allow more privacy, Koglin said.
