First Lutheran students raise $10,400

Students at First Evangelical Lutheran School raised over $10,400 in the annual nonpublic school marathon.
Students may have well been motivated by a couple of challenges — they were told if they raised over $5,000 they would get a pool and pizza party; if they raised over $7,000, fifth-grade teacher Luke Dahl and Principal Dean Scheele would have their heads shaved; and, if they raised over $9,000, Scheele would jump out of a plane.
The head shaving took place Oct. 23, and the pool party is set for Nov. 21. Scheele will go sky diving in April or May, when the weather is acceptable.
