Hilma Flynn, 95, of Hamburg

Hilma Flynn, age 95, of Hamburg, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Marie Steiner Kelting Hospice House in Chaska. Memorial services will be Saturday, March 18 at 11:00 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Hamburg with private interment at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, March 18 from 9:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m., 1-1/2 hours prior tot he service at the church. Brownton City Council updated on street, utility project at workshop

After a year or more of hammering out financing for its street and utility project, the city of Brownton may finally be able to put the project out for bids late this year.
The City Council met with John Rodeberg and Chris Knutsen of Short Elliott Hendrickson, Inc., (SEH), its consulting engineers, in a workshop session prior to its regular meeting Tuesday, March 7.

Jean Penas, 75, of Silver Lake

Jean Frances (Ardolf) Penas, 75, of Silver Lake passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Glencoe Long Term Care after a short battle with gallbladder cancer.
A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial for Jean Penas will be held on Monday, March 20 at 10:30 A.M. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake.  Father Paul Schumacher will be the Principal Concelebrant.  Alice Nowak will be the organist.  The Adult Choir will provide special music.

Adeline Ella Harpel passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Glencoe Regional Health Service Long Term Care in Glencoe.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, March 14 at Church of St. Pius X in Glencoe with Rev. Anthony Stubeda  officiating.
