Maurice Oelfke, 74, of Hamburg, died Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 11, at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Hamburg with the Rev. Donald Andrix officiating. Kathy Oelfke was the organist. Soloist Jennifer Oelfke sang “On Eagle’s Wings.” Congregational hymns were “Peace, Like a River” and “Beautiful Savior.”

Ret. Col. Vernon A. Moehring, 98, of Westminster Winter Park, Florida, died peacefully on March 30, 2017.
Funeral services will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia.
Col. Moehring was born March 7, 1919, in Glencoe, the son of the late Emil J. and Lillian (Jenecke) Moehring.
He attended William Penn College for three years on a football scholarship before enlisting in the U.S. Army to serve in World War II.

Estella “Stella” Ann Fogarty, 78, of Lester Prairie, died peacefully Thursday, April 6, 2017, in hospice at a daughter’s home in Silver Lake.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday, April 12, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted with the Rev. Paul Schumacher as the celebrant.
Casket bearers were Mrs. Fogarty’s grandsons, Robert Fogarty, Martin Justus, Joseph Fogarty, Mitchell Radtke, Myles Radtke, James Justus, David Fogarty and Colin Fogarty.
Interment was in the Holy Family Cemetery, Winsted.

Ruth Margaret (Proehl) Lemke, 76, of Glencoe, died Monday, April 3, 2017, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 7, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe with the Rev. Ronald Mathison officiating. Jan Heins was the organist. Soloist Justin Rierson sang “The Lord’s Prayer.” Congregational hymns were “What a Friend We Have in Jesus,” “I Know That My Redeemer Lives” and “Jesus, Still Lead On.”
