The last of Glencoe-Silver Lake’s winter teams to begin competing, the Panther gymnasts opened their season at home in a dual meet against Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted on Tuesday, Dec. 11.
In a newly-arranged home gymnasium, GSL posted a score of 113.125 to 119.55 for the Lakers.
Marissa Greeley finished third in the all-around competition, scoring a 30.425; Makayla Wigern was fifth in the all-around with a 26.950.
Greeley, who competed in floor exercise at state last season, won the event with a score of 8.7. Teammate Gia Venier placed second on vault (8.5) and bars (7.05).
