Silver Lake Council establishes after hours park permit, waiver

The Silver Lake City Council established a park and recreation after-hours permit and waiver at its meeting on Monday.
The action came after the Silver Lake Civic Association requested permission to hold its annual appreciation weekend, which includes camping, in the park near the pool.
The council approved the request at the February meeting, with the condition that a permit and waivers would be established and signed.
City ordinance does not allow activity in city parks after 10 p.m.

Mastins announce son’s birth

Tyson and Lauren Mastin, Plato, annouce the arrival of their son, John Frank Mastin, who was born March 12, 2018, at Glencoe Regional Health Services. John weighed 8 pounds, 4 ounces, and was 21 inches long at birth. Grandparents are Gerg and Kim Mastin of Blue Earth and Terry and Shawn Reps of St. Charles.

Son born to New Auburn couple

Larissa Prafke and Dominic Dreyling of New Auburn announce the arrival of a son, Ethan Scott Prafke, who was born March 17, 2018, at Glencoe Regional Health Services. Ethan weighed 6 pounds, 2 ounces, and was 191⁄2 inches long. Grandparents are Rebecca Brockhoff and Scott Prafke of New Auburn, and Lori Giles and Kevin Dreyling, both of Albert Lea.

Son born to Busse family

Dan and Chelsey Busse of Arlington announce the birth of a son, Stryker James, who arrived March 16, 2018, at Ridgeview Hospital in Waconia. Stryker weighed 8 pounds, 10 ounces, and was 19 inches long. He joins siblings Hailey and Logan. Grandparents are Don and Patty DeRycke of Clay, New York, Darrell and Lynell Busse of Glencoe and Ann and Tim LaFrance of Brewerton, New York.
