Glencoe-Silver Lake seniors Kobe Boozikee, Nathan Warner, Drew Hedtke, Teagan Hansch, Cade Herrmann, Austin Simons, Sophia Touailat, Hope Kosek, Kendra Klobe, Paul Sievert, Devin Everding, Eli Kuehn, Allie Gronlund, Cloe Kuehl, Jacob Christianson, Summer Hayes, Lillian Ehrke, Raegan Merrill, Majkya Metcalf, Kayla Reichow, Rachel Trebesch, Bethany Hagen, Megan Stoeckman and Melody Nickel are all in National Honor Society. They didn’t take a group picture because of the COVID-19 pandemic, so this is a series of individual photos Photoshopped together.

Volunteers and members of Friends of High Island have been working to improve the quality of water in High Island Lake in New Auburn/Sibley County since the dam washed out in the spring of 2019. The Friends of High Island have fundraised and received a grant to replace the dam. They hope work on replacing it will begin in the fall 2021.

The Glencoe Area Chamber of Commerce, along with the McLeod County Board of Commissioners, held a ribbon cutting Tuesday, March 16, to officially open the new McLeod County Government Center located at 520 Chandler Ave. N. in Glencoe. The commissioners were joined by members of the chamber, county department heads and staff. The board held its first in-person board meeting at its new location following the ceremony.
