Glencoe City Council got another look at its proposed 2019 general fund budget at Monday afternoon’s workshop session, and City Administrator Mark Larson said what he is proposing shows no increase in ad valorem (local property) taxes.
Larson said proposed ad valorem taxes would remain at $1.577 million, while local government aid will increase about $4,000 to $1,408,083. That gives total revenues at $3,701,783, a decrease from 2018 at $3,710,901.
On the expenditure side, spending will increase from $3,693,201 in 2018 to $3,788,345 in 2019.
