Letter to editor: Businesses hurt by pandemic should seek SBA help

To the editor,
Minnesota small-business owners who are facing economic hardship during the COVID-19 outbreak should seek relief through the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Disaster Loan Assistance Program. Minnesota is among states where the federal SBA’s low-interest loans available to cover small-business operating expenses after a disaster declaration was issued.

An opportunity – Our view: Let’s make the most of it

The idea of writing an editorial on local government handling of an issue is an unattractive proposition this week.
So, we’re trying something different this week.

The unscheduled change in our way of life might be most akin to what adults and their children dealt with in the late-1920s, ‘30s and ‘40s until World War II pulled us out of the Great Depression. If you’re lucky enough to have them around still, ask your parents or grandparents about it.
