Nigel and Michelle Paulson of Hutchinson announce the birth of their daughter, Ava Irene, on Feb. 14, 2014, at Hutchinson Health. Ava weighed 7 pounds, 6-1/2 ounces, and was 19-1/2 inches long. Cole Petersen of Glencoe was awarded the Presidential Academic/Athletic Scholarship to Dakota Wesleyan University at Mitchell, S.D. Petersen, a senior at Glencoe-Silver Lake High School and son of Shawn and Lisa Petersen, was awarded the scholarship during the university’s annual Presidential Scholarship Day.
