2 accidents reported in Sibley County

A Mayer man escaped without injury after a one-vehicle crash near Henderson Tuesday, Feb. 21. The crash was reported just before 10 a.m.
According to the Sibley County Sheriff’s Office, Dustin Edminson, 21, of Mayer, was driving a 2005 Buick Rendezvous eastbound on 335th Avenue near Scenic Byway Road, about 21⁄2 miles north of Henderson, when he lost control on the frost-covered road, entered the south ditch, and struck several small trees.
Edminson was wearing his seat belt and was not injured. The vehicle was severely damaged, according to the sheriff’s office.
On Thursday, Feb. 23, at about 1:20 a.m., the Sibley County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a one-vehicle crash near the intersection of Highway 5 and Fourth Avenue NW in the city of Arlington.
Arriving deputies found a vehicle that had struck a tree. The driver, Joshua James Frauendienst, 25, of Arlington, had left the vehicle and was found a short distance away. He was taken by Arlington Ambulance to the Ridgeview Sibley Medical Center, and later transferred to North Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The vehicle, a 2001 Saturn sedan was heavily damaged.
The investigation is ongoing, according to the sheriff’s office.
