2 adults, 5 children hurt in single-vehicle accident

Two adults were taken by air ambulance to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis and five children were taken to Hutchinson Health Hospital for treatment of minor injuries following a one-vehicle rollover west of Hutchinson Sunday.
According to the McLeod County Sheriff’s Office, the accident was reported at 7:02 p.m. and occurred just east of Zane Avenue on 870th Street.
Jennifer Clara Risk 27, of Hector, the driver of the 2000 Chevrolet Suburban, was airlifted from the scene and taken to Hennepin County Medical Center. A front-seat passenger, Damon Dwight Wiederhoft, 28, of Cosmos, was taken by ambulance to Hutchinson Health, and then airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center.
The children who were transported included Addison Richard Eversole, 11; Kandice Kae Risk, 5; Payton Elizabeth Risk, 3; Joshua Alan Vorbeck, 8; and Kaedon A. Eversole, 10. Kandice Risk was in a booster seat and Payton Risk was in a car seat. All of the children were belted in.
Assisting at the accident were Hutchinson Fire and Rescue, Allina and Buffalo Lake ambulances, Buffalo Lake Police Department, Renville County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota State Patrol.
