2 injured in motorcycle-vehicle crash

Two people were injured in a motorcycle-vehicle accident Saturday on Highway 7 near Lester Prairie.
The accident was reported at 5:15 p.m., and occurred at the Highway 7-Babcock Avenue intersection.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Mark E. Ghostley, 61, of Howard Lake, was driving a 1997 Honda motorcycle north on Babcock Avenue and James H. Hamilton, 64, of Champlin, was eastbound on Highway 7 in a 2013 Ford Escape when the vehicles collided at the intersection.
Ghostley and his passenger, Cheryll M. Larson, 63, of Waverly, were taken to Ridgeview Hospital in Waconia with non-life-threatening injuries. Neither Hamilton nor his passenger, Dianna E. Hamilton-Hess, 56, of Champlin, were injured.
Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, according to the state patrol.
Assisting at the scene were the Lester Prairie police and fire departments, McLeod County Sheriff’s Office, Winsted Police Department and Ridgeview Ambulance.
