5 file for GSL Board; municipal filings close
Five candidates will compete for three seats on the Glencoe-Silver Lake (GSL) School Board, as filings for candidacy closed Tuesday, Aug. 12, at 5 p.m.
All three incumbents filed for re-election — Clark Christianson, Jason Lindeman and Anne Twiss. Also filing were former GSL School Board Member Gary Schreifels, and Pat Fogarty.
Christianson, Twiss and Schreifels are all from Glencoe. Lindeman lives near Brownton, while Fogarty is a Silver Lake resident, where he currently serves on the Silver Lake City Council.
Filings also closed for municipal elections on Aug. 12. Candidates include:
City of Glencoe — Incumbent Lori Adamietz filed for re-election for her at-large position, and is being challenged by Allen Robeck. A race also has developed in Precinct 3, where incumbent Gary Ziemer is being challenged by Marie Thurn. John Schrupp, the incumbent in Precinct 1, also has filed for re-election and is running unopposed.
