Townships to hold
annual meetings on
Tuesday, March 14
Our View: Rural residents are
encouraged to get involved
Townships across Minnesota are ready to hold their
respective annual meetings on Tuesday, March 14.
Although these meetings often fly under the radar
in the eyes of the general public, the yearly gather-
ings are an important event for people who reside in
these respective townships.
People who attend these public meetings can be-
come informed and provide input on important is-
sues like budgets, roads, bridges and partnerships
with cities for ambulance and fire services. These in-
dividuals can also run for elected office, which for a
majority of the townships, is now held during the
general election in the fall.
