Betty L. Rosenow, 78, of Glencoe

Betty LaVonne (Jaworski) Rosenow, 78, of Glencoe, died Monday, June 19, 2017, at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 23, at Riverside Church in Hutchinson with Dr. Lee Allison officiating. Worship leader Robert Scharpe performed “He’s Alive.” Congregational hymns were “Amazing Grace” and “It is Well.”
Casket bearers were Kevin Wolden and Duane Mattson. Interment will be at a later date in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Betty LaVonne (Jaworski) Rosenow was born May 12, 1939, in Minneapolis, the daughter of Marvin and Flora (Jenkins) Jaworski, and was the stepdaughter of Andrew Larson. She grew up in Minneapolis and received her education there.
On June 27, 1981, she was united in marriage to Norman Rosenow in Hopkins. They made their home in Glencoe. Her life was blessed with a son, Andrew. The couple shared almost 36 years of marriage.
Mrs. Rosenow worked as a home care provider. She was a member of Riverside Church in Hutchinson. She also volunteered at Glencoe Regional Health Services Long Term Care and with the jail ministry in Glencoe and Litchfield.
She enjoyed crafts, shopping and hats. She was known to many as “the hat lady.” She valued the time spent with family and friends, especially with her husband Norman.
She is survived by her husband, Norman Rosenow of Glencoe; son, Andy Foster of Hutchinson; siblings, Chuck Larson and Vivian Howel; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Flora Jaworski; stepfather, Andrew Larson; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold and Millie Rosenow.
