Betty Lou Wroge, 70, of Glencoe

Betty Lou (Frahm) Wroge, 70, of Glencoe, died Sunday, June 18, 2017, doing what she loved, camping in Hutchinson.
Memorial services were held Wednesday, June 21, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe with the Rev. Daniel Welch officiating. Dawn Wolter was the organist. Congregational hymns were “When Peace, Like a River,” “The Lord’s My Shepherd, I’ll Not Want” and “I Know That My Redeemer Lives.”
Honorary urn bearers were her granddaughters, Beth Wroge, Leah Wroge and Lindsey Jacques. Urn bearers were her grandsons, Ryan Wroge, Adam Wroge and Jesse Jacques.
Interment was in the church cemetery.
Betty Lou (Frahm) Wroge was born Aug. 17, 1946, in Glencoe, the daughter of John and Malinda (Trick) Frahm Sr. She was baptized as an infant on Sept. 1, 1946, by the Rev. Arndt, and was confirmed in her faith as a youth on June 12, 1960, by the Rev. H.J. Malotky, both at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Green Isle. She received her education at Green Isle Elementary School and Arlington High School.
On July 16, 1966, she was united in marriage to Donald Wroge by the Rev. H.J. Malotky at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Green Isle. They made their home in Glencoe, and their marriage was blessed with three children, David, James and Dawn. They shared over 50 years of marriage.
In addition to being a loving wife, mother and homemaker, Mrs. Wroge worked at Telex and later started doing day care. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Wroge of Glencoe; son, David (Theresa) Wroge of Arlington; daughter, Dawn (Jason) Jacques of Glencoe; daughter-in-law, Kim (Barrie) Evans of Eagle Lake; grandchildren, Ryan Wroge and special friend Jessie, Beth Wroge and special friend Mike, Adam Wroge and special friend Kassandra, Leah Wroge and special friend Tyler, Lindsey Jacques and special friend Trey and Jesse Jacques; great-grandson, Wyatt Wroge; siblings, John (Elaine) Frahm Jr. of Stillwater and Sandra (Kenneth) Dressen of Arlington; brother-in-law, Orlin (Joyce) Wroge of Lawton, Oklahoma; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Malinda Frahm; son, James Donald Wroge; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Martin and Ella Wroge; sister-in-law, Betty Wroge; and brother-in-law, Melvin Wroge.
