Blue Jays top Bruins in 13 innings on walk-off homer
A walk-off win over Brownton was sandwiched in-between a pair of losses to Cologne last week as the Plato Blue Jays enter the final month of the season with a .500 record.
The Blue Jays began last week’s three-game stretch by taking on Cologne in a Tuesday night matchup on June 25.
Both the Hollanders and Plato are neck-and-neck, just outside the top tier of Crow River Valley League squads this season. However, it was Cologne that surged past the Blue Jays in the mid-week contest.
The Hollanders led 1-0 after the first inning, and the two teams were tied 3-3 after four frames. Chris Odegaard, Alex Troska and Matt Odegaard all scored in the third, with Joe Nix and Troska each being credited with an RBI.
