Blue Jays win big at Belle Plaine

Another game, another blowout.
The Plato Blue Jays improved to 2-0 on the season with yet another lopsided result, this time 12-1 at the expense of host Belle Plaine on Friday, May 8. Plato, now 2-0 overall and 1-0 in Crow River Valley League play, proved to be rude visitors in the non-league matchup by means of the longball.
Chris Odegaard smashed three home runs, with a fourth round-tripper coming off the bat of Nolan Lepel.
The pitching trio of Tony Wischnack, Cody Hallahan and Matt Odegaard kept Belle Plaine almost entirely off the basepaths, allowing just one hit and a lone unearned run.
Plato, on the road for the first five games of the season due to improvements being made at Blue Jay Stadium, play at Carver this Sunday at 2 p.m. The Blue Jays finish out their early-season road trip with games at Chaska on Thursday, May 21 and at Hamburg on Monday, May 25. Plato hosts its home opener on Saturday, May 30 against Winsted.
