Blue Jays win third, fourth in a row

It’s four wins in a row and counting for the Plato Blue Jays, as the squad closed out the month of June with back-to-back shutout victories.

Plato split the difference with Brownton on location, but not on the scoreboard as the Blue Jays claimed a 10-0 win over the Bruins on Wednesday, June 28 at Vollmer Field in Glencoe.

Brownton nearly took an early lead in the contest by putting two runners in scoring position with one out in the top of the first inning, but came up empty.

After going fairly quietly in its first two turns at the plate, Plato plated three runners in both the third and fourth innings to take an insurmountable lead.

Adam Prehn led off the third by being hit by the pitch, and then moved to third base on a double by Jake VonBerge.
