BMX racers open season
About 40 racers were expected for last night’s season-opener and the start of the 12th season of racing at Glencoe’s Sterner-Meyer BMX Park.
The season has been delayed about a month awaiting the city’s go-ahead. Volunteers with the Buffalo Creek BMX Club have also been working to prepare the track for racing.
The club races Tuesday evenings into the fall. The classes are for children ages 3 and up all the way to adults. There are levels for inexperienced riders through experienced competitors.
