Boys’ golfers play at Rockford meet

The Glencoe-Silver Lake boys’ golf team carded a score of 194 in a Wright County Conference West matchup hosted by Rockford on Thursday, April 21. 
Dylan Schuth led the Panthers with a score of 46 over nine holes on a seasonal day at Shamrock Golf Course. Mitchell Beneke scored a 48, with Christian Higgins posting a 49 and Jayden Lachermeier a 51 to account for the team scoring. Nicholas Schmidt and Joseph Torgerson also competed, carding scores of 55 and 69, respectively.
GSL was slated to play in an invitational meet at Burl Oaks Golf Club in Minnetrista on Monday, April 25, but that competition was postponed until this coming Monday due to inclement weather conditions. 
The Panthers are scheduled to travel to Little Crow Golf Course on Thursday for a WCC West meet hosted by New London-Spicer. That meet is slated to be followed by an invitational meet at Hutchinson’s Crow River Golf Club on Friday.
