Boys' CC eighth at NYA
The Glencoe-Silver Lake boys’ cross-country team placed eighth with 232 points at the Norwood Young America Lions Invitational, held at Baylor Park on Tuesday, Sept. 13.
Tony Fischer paced the Panthers on the familiar course, taking 28th overall in a time of 17 minutes, 58.3 seconds.
Not far behind Fischer was Austin Schroepfer, who came in 32nd in 18:06.3. Ethan Knudten took 46th in 18:37.0, with Isaac Krueger (19:02.7) and Jakob Rusten (19:20.0) rounding out the varsity scoring by taking 59th and 67th, respectively.
Zackary Herout (69th, 19:23.7) and Tanner Chmielewski (84th, 19:47.3) also ran for the varsity.
GSL ran at Crown College on Tuesday, after the Chronicle went to press. The Panthers host their annual invitational meet on Thursday, beginning at 4:30 p.m. at Stevens Seminary Stadium.
