Braband to retire from GRHS in ’18
Jon D. Braband, fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), has informed the Glencoe Regional Health Services (GRHS) Board of Directors that he plans to retire from his position as president and chief executive officer in July 2018 after 25 years of leading the organization.
“It has been my distinct honor and privilege to work with the people who make up GRHS, who individually and collectively make it a priority to provide for the greater good of our patients, residents, families and members of our community,” Braband said. “This is a fantastic organization, comprised of truly remarkable and caring individuals.”
In July 1993, Braband was appointed president and CEO of Glencoe Area Health Center, which merged in 2000 with Glencoe Medical Clinic PA, to form Glencoe Regional Health Services.
Braband led GRHS through several transformational construction projects, including:
• Building new clinic facilities in Glencoe and Lester Prairie;
• Remodeling hospital patient rooms, the Best Beginnings Birth Center and medical imaging facilities;
• Adding a third floor to the hospital for rehabilitation and infusion services;
• Remodeling the hospital entrance, emergency room, specialty clinic facilities and surgical services department; and
• Building a new nursing home.
