Brad O’Donnell receives NIAAA Award of Merit
St. Clair Public School Activities Administrator Brad O’Donnell, a Glencoe High School alumni, is Minnesota’s 2017 Award of Merit recipient from the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA). The State Award of Merit is selected and presented annually in each state. It is an award presented by the state to an NIAAA member who demonstrates outstanding leadership and meritorious service and achievement in the vocation of interscholastic administration. Selections and presentations are made by each state athletic administrator association and the award is provided by the NIAAA.
O’Donnell, activities administrator and community education director at St. Clair Public School since 2010, is a widely-recognized figure at the regional and state levels for his work as a coaching certification instructor, his conference and section leadership roles, his work with the Minnesota State High School League, and for his work as an instructor and Region V representative for the NIAAA.
When notified of the recognition, O’Donnell commented, “It’s a great recognition, but this is an award that was accomplished because of so many great coaches, supportpersonnel, and administrators who have supported our dreams and goals for our student participants over these past years.” O’Donnell also credits his family for their support of his work.
