Brewers drop two
The Glencoe Brewers dropped to 4-8 on the season after losing a pair of Crow River Valley League home games to Green Isle and Waconia last week.
Glencoe lost 15-0 to Green Isle on Thursday, June 14, committing six errors while logging just five hits. Cameron Chap collected the Brewers’ lone extra base hit with a double.
Starting pitcher Colt Trebesch went 5-1/3 innings and took the loss.
A five-run rally in the seventh was equally matched by visiting Waconia in the ninth as Glencoe lost 13-8 to the Lakers on Sunday, June 17.
Tanner Grack and Derek Weber knocked in two runs apiece, with Trebesch scoring three times and Brody Bratsch twice in the loss.
Peyton Sell, who came on in relief of starter Jaime Paumen, took the loss.
The Brewers have won just one of their last six games and ride a three-game losing streak into this week, with a Glencoe Days matchup against Plato scheduled for Friday night at 7 p.m.
