Brewers enter playoffs having lost five of six

July has not been a kind month for the Glencoe Brewers. 
Having entered the month with a 12-9 overall record that included its forfeit victory against Norwood, Glencoe lost five of six games in July to close out the regular season with a 13-14 overall record and a 9-9 mark in the final Crow River Valley League (CRVL) standings.
The Brewers dropped both of their matchups last week – 8-1 at Gaylord in a non-league matchup and 11-0 at Plato in the CRVL finale – to run their losing streak to four games as the postseason begins this week.
Colton Lueders drove home Colt Trebesch with Glencoe’s lone run against Gaylord on Wednesday, July 20, with Tyler Chap going 2-for-4 in the Brewers’ lone multi-hit performance. Derek Bratch took the loss.
Glencoe mustered up just two hits – one apiece from Gannon Jordahl and Derek Weber – in the 11-run loss to the Blue Jays on Sunday, July 24.
