Brownton to host public meetings on RS Fiber
The Brownton City Council has set two public meetings regarding the proposed RS Fiber project, which is proposing to install fiber-optic phone, television and Internet service to homes and businesses in Renville and Sibley counties, as well as the cities of Brownton and Stewart in McLeod County.
The meetings will be held Saturday, March 7, from 10 a.m. to noon, and Tuesday, March 10, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Brownton Community Center.
The meetings will provide information about the project, as well as answer questions about financing, and any risk to city taxpayers.
