Bruins searching for a win

These have been difficult days for the Brownton Bruins, as the squad enters this week on a four-game losing skid.

The Bruins opened their unhappy streak with a 20-1 loss at Hutchinson on Tuesday, June 20.

Brownton trailed 7-0 after the first inning and only broke the after Grant Baumetz walked and came around to score on a wild pitch in the fifth inning.

A heartbreaking setback followed on Friday, June 23, as the Bruins fell 3-2 at Glencoe after the Brewers pushed across two runs in the bottom of the ninth to spoil starting pitcher Ryan Grams’ complete-game performance.

Brownton had held a 2-0 lead in the sixth inning as Deryk Randt and Josh Dietz both scored.
