Christmas spirit is alive and well in Glencoe
To the Editor:
The Christmas spirit was alive last Sunday, Dec. 11, in Glencoe.
I had gone to church after it had snowed six inches or more the night before. When I came home, I tried to drive into my driveway and became stuck at the base of my driveway. Forgetting my age, I thought I could shovel my way out of my difficulties. I could not and fell on my back. As I floundered on top of the snow, someone from Good Shepherd Lutheran Church stopped to pull me out of the snow. As I was standing on the roadway, two police cars pulled up. Someone had called 9-1-1. After I had gotten out of the ambulance, I saw six people shoveling out my driveway.
I have many people to thank for their kindness that Sunday. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
