City council rejects resident’s request for compensation

Glencoe City Council Monday night, April 15, discussed a letter from Greg Wedin concerning the central storm sewer project he says has “greatly restricted use of my property at 1015 12th St. E.” to the point it has caused “significant inconvenience.”
Wedin stated that not completing the project on schedule is the cause.
Wedin, in his letter to the city, asked the city compensate him for that inconvenience by paying for his driveway when the 12th Street concrete work is completed this spring or summer “at no cost to me beyond normal assessments.”
