City seeks candidates for Charter Commission
With five of the 10 members of the Glencoe Charter Commission up for appointment, Glencoe City Council on Monday night opened up a 30-day period seeking candidates for the five two-year positions.
Currently holding the two-year positions are Charles Lemke, Duane Klaustermeier, Brian Schlagel, Peter Arnold (who resigned after moving from town), John Winter and former Council Member Lori Adamietz.
Holding four-year terms are Tim Kaczmarek, Linda Radtke, Council Member Gary Ziemer, Marie Thurn and Mayor Randy Wilson.
Once enough candidates come forward, the list will be submitted to the McLeod County District Court for final approval.
The City Council also is sending letters to incumbents to see if they are still interested in serving on the Charter Commission or if there are others in the community interested in serving.
