AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 121
MAYOR AND COUNCIL MEMBER WAGES

AND ORDINANCE SETTING ANNUAL WAGES AND MEETING WAGES FOR THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL MEMBERS

THE CITY COUNCIL OF STEWART ORDAINS:

SECTION 1: ANNUAL WAGES
The annual salary for the City Mayor shall be increased to $1500.00 per year and a City Council Member shall be increased to $900.00 per year.

SECTION 2: MEETING WAGES
In addition to the annual salaries paid, the Mayor and each Council Member shall receive $50.00 for each regular meeting and/or special meeting attended.

SECTION 3: MILEAGE REIMBURSEMENT FOR OUT OF CITY MEETINGS
A Mayor or Council Member shall receive mileage reimbursement for attending an out of city meeting at the federal mileage rate, they shall be not be paid for attending an out of city meeting

SECTION 3: REPEALING ORDINANCES
Ordinance No. 121, and any other previous Stewart City Ordinances providing different salary amounts for the City Mayor and/or City Council Members are hereby repealed.

SECTION 4: PASSAGE AND PUBLICATION
This ordinance shall become effective January 1, 2019.

Adopted by the City Council of Stewart this 8th day of October 2018.
