Contestants sought for county fair talent show
Singers, musicians, comedians and entertainers of every age are welcome and encouraged to put their talents before a live audience by taking part in the 39th annual talent contest at the McLeod County Fair on Sunday, Aug. 19. The contest is in the North Corporate Tent at noon.
Prizes are awarded to the top three winners of each category: Pre-teen, Teen and Open Division. First-place winners at the county fair level in each division advance to the Minnesota State Fair, which runs Aug. 23 through Labor Day, Sept. 3.
Applications to showcase your talent will be accepted through Aug. 10. There is a $15 entry fee; you will receive free admission to the fair and $5 returned the day of the competition.
