County Board agrees to health incentive program
McLeod County will continue to offer a premium credit program for employees who participate in wellness activities, the County Board decided at its Thursday, Dec. 1, meeting.
Commissioner Doug Krueger had suggested not offering the program in 2017 considering the problems health care is having in the U.S.
“I have a real concern about the state of health insurance,” said Krueger.
The program allows employees to earn credit toward their health insurance premiums, such as a health assessment and activities to develop healthy behaviors.
