County board names Murphy to top job
The McLeod County Board chose Sheila Murphy — previously the interim and deputy administrator — to lead all county departments as the administrator Tuesday, Sept. 3.
Commissioners didn’t spend much time discussing her appointment at the board meeting yesterday morning as commissioners unanimously approved the motion other than Commissioner Rich Pohlmeier endorsing the decision. Commissioners and department heads had their opportunities for input during the interview process, which lasted months. The former administrator, Cindy Ford, retired in May.
