County OKs $10 million in bonding for building, roads
In step with the implementation of the already-approved half-percent local-option sales tax for 2020, the McLeod County Board unanimously approved $10 million in bonding at its Tuesday, Nov. 5 meeting.
Of the $10 million, $6 million is designated for road construction and $4 million will go to the McLeod County Government Center renovation (the former Jungclaus building).
Months ago, when the county was looking at the potential implementation of a local-option sales tax and approving the $10 million bond, Commissioner Doug Krueger, the Glencoe representative, called the sales tax and road projects a package deal.
