County Road 26, part of CSAH 17 now open

All of McLeod County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 26 is open today after the contractor completed blacktopping, according to the McLeod Highway Department. The project area was located north and northeast of Brownton.

In addition, CSAH 17 is now open from the east county line to State Highway 15. CSAH 17 from Highway 15 to Fernando (CSAH 7) will remain closed until the shoulder work is completed.

The contractor expects to work on placing topsoil, shouldering and pavement markings next week. Those tasks will be done under traffic, with the exception of the portion of CSAH 17 that will be closed for the shouldering work.

In addition, Highway 15 from Brownton to Winthrop opened on Wednesday, Sept. 30, after that reconstruction project was completed.
