Duane Ivan Stradtmann, 74, of Glencoe

Duane Stradtmann

Duane Ivan Stradtmann, 74, of Glencoe, passed away Monday, Oct. 15, 2018, at Glencoe Regional Health Services in Glencoe. Funeral Services were held Saturday, October 20, 11:00 a.m., at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe, with interment following at First Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Glencoe.
Pastor Peter Adelsen was the officiating clergy.
Jan Heins was the organist and “I’m But A Stranger Here,” “When Peace Like A River,” and “Abide With Me” were the congregational hymns.
Kaitlyn Stradtmann, Cole Stradtmann, Nicolas Doerr, Alexa Doerr, Travis Christensen, and Pat O’Donnell were the casket-bearers.
Duane Ivan Stradtmann was born May 26, 1944, in Glencoe. He was the son of Ivan and Serena (Henke) Stradtmann. Duane was baptized as an infant June 11, 1944, by Rev. Alf. Streufert and later confirmed in his faith as a youth March 30, 1958, by Rev. A. H. Fellwock, both at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe. He received his education in Glencoe, graduating with the Glencoe High School Class of 1962.
Oct. 17, 1964, Rev. R. L. Reith united Duane in marriage to Corene Trick at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Norwood Young America. Duane and Corene made their home in Glencoe. Their life was blessed with three children, Jeffrey, Michelle and Bradley. Duane and Corene shared almost 54 years of marriage.
Mr. Stradtmann was a dairy farmer. He was a member at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe. As a youth, he played baseball. Mr. Stradtmann enjoyed traveling around the country, which included Alaska, Canada and taking trips with the University of Minnesota on dairy tours. Mr. Stradtmann loved fishing, camping, woodworking, spending summers at Red Lake and playing cards, especially sheephead and 500. He valued the time spent with his friends, family and grandchildren. Mr. Stradtmann especially enjoyed four-wheeling with his grandchildren and setting up targets for them to shoot.
Mr. Stradtmann passed away Monday, Oct. 15, at Glencoe Regional Health Services in Glencoe, Minnesota, at the age of 74 years, 4 months and 19 days.

Mr. Stradtmann is survived by his wife, Corene Stradtmann of Glencoe; children, Jeffrey Stradtmann and his wife, Angel, of Northome, Minn., Michelle Doerr of Victoria, Bradley Stradtmann and his wife, Amy, of Belvidere, Ill.; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Stradtmann, Cole Stradtmann, Nicolas Doerr, Alexa Doerr; mother, Serena Stradtmann of Glencoe; sister, Phyllis Krieg of Shakopee; brother-in-law, Ron Trick and his wife, Shirley, of Norwood Young America; nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Mr. Stradtmann was preceded in death by his father, Ivan Stradtmann; parents-in-law, Edwin and Leona Trick; sister-in-law, Yvonne Hill and her husband, Kenny.
