Dugout canoe display opens

A dugout canoe donated to the McLeod County Historial Museum, dated between 1030 and 1220 A.D., will be put back on display Sunday, Sept. 7, with a grand opening from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. National Register Archeologist David Maher will discuss the historical significance of the canoe and how dugout canoes were made. The museum is located at 380 School Rd. NW, Hutchinson.
