Off-duty McLeod County deputy injured in NYA shooting
An off-duty McLeod County sheriff's deputy was injured in a shooting early this morning at the Kwik Trip in Norwood Young America, according to a news report on WCCO.
WCCO cited the Carver County Sheriff's Office as reporting that it had received a complaint about 2:40 a.m. of an unruly customer at the station. An off-duty McLeod County deputy was on his way home and had stopped at the station when the call came in. The deputy and the suspect got into a fight, and both were injured. The suspect then fled, but was later found. Both had nonlife-threatening injuries. Neither was identified.
The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) is investigating the incident. The Chronicle will update this article as more information becomes available.
